Arnold Palmer Regional Airport awarded $724K in runway funding

Tribune Review – Funding for runway strengthening and rehabilitation work at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is starting to fall into place, with the announcement this week of a $724,447 grant for the project.

The funds are allocated through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program, which is meant to bring airports that are deemed significant to national air transportation up to current design standards. The FAA Wednesday awarded a total of $185.1 million in infrastructure grants to 107 airports in 40 states.
