Arnold Palmer Regional Airport gets $1.4M state grant

Tribune-Review – A $1.4 million state grant will be used to build an access road to the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport terminal, which will create a new main entrance and a connection to the traffic roundabout PennDOT is constructing on Route 981.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority grant will enable the Westmoreland County Airport Authority to move the 700-foot main access road about 200 yards north of the primary access road, Executive Director Gabe Monzo said during Tuesday’s meeting. The project will cost $2 million, so the authority will have to borrow about $600,000, Monzo said.
