Orlando, FL—Engineering News Record (ENR) Southeast has named GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) Assistant Engineering Manager Daniel Nickols, Jr., PE to its list of 2022 Top Young Professionals. Mr. Nickols’ 13 years of industry experience coupled with his commitment to improving his community through impactful projects and charitable work earned him a place on ENR Southeast’s annual list.

About Daniel Nickols:
- An Assistant Engineering Manager working in GAI’s Orlando office, Daniel leads GAI’s Florida aviation team.
- Daniel led the design, construction management, and inspection services for multiple airfield rehabilitation, reconstruction, and relocation projects at Flagler Executive Airport with construction costs exceeding $25 million.
- Daniel has presented at the Florida Aviation Council conference on best practices for design and construction management at Florida General Aviation Airports, specifically the $12 million Flagler Executive Airport Runway 11-29 Relocation & Extension project, which received the FAA 2019 Southern Region General Aviation Safety Project of the Year award.
- Dan provides continuing support to the Jewish Pavilion, Jewish Community Center, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Tee it Up for the Troops, and Rotary Club of Flagler Beach; in addition, he volunteers his time to present STEM topics to local elementary, middle, and high school students.
- Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
