National Engineering Firm Adds Senior Civil Technical Manager, Bolsters Transportation Offerings

Hugh Ronald, PEOrlando, FL—With more than 37 years of experience managing and designing transportation projects nationally and in every Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District, Hugh Ronald, PE joins GAI Consultants’ (GAIs’) growing transportation group as Senior Civil Technical Manager. In this role, Hugh will serve GAI’s new and existing clients from the firm’s Orlando office on projects like the I-10/I-95 Interchange design-build in FDOT District 2.

  • With offices in Orlando, Jacksonville, Palm Beach Gardens, and Tampa, GAI builds on our more than 30-year commitment to Florida through enhanced service offerings and strategic hires.
  • Hugh’s notable projects include the St. George Island Bridge design-build project in FDOT District 3, and the Inner Harbor Navigation Channel Army Corps of Engineers design-build project in New Orleans, LA.
  • Hugh’s technical specialties include precast and prestressed concrete; structural analysis and design; construction and value engineering; and design-build.
  • He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona and is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
  • In addition, Hugh is an active member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Prestressed Concrete Institute.
