Florida Aviation Director

Jack Thompson, CM, LEED® AP serves as GAI’s Florida Aviation Director. Mr. Thompson has over 20 years’ experience with project and airport management in the aviation industry across the southern United States. His background includes project management for the relocation and extension of Runway 11-29 and taxiway rehabilitation program at Flagler Executive Airport; project management for the Planning and Environmental program at Martin County Airport, including airport noise and capital improvement program management and conceptual land development planning; and assisting FDOT District 5 with project grant management at the Melbourne and Orlando International Airports. Jack is a Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). As an industry advocate, Jack is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Florida Airports Council, and numerous FDOT Airport Advisory Groups.
