Jon Oldfield

Director, Train Control Systems

Jon Oldfield has nearly 50 years of experience in the signaling industry, having worked for signal suppliers, design firms, and a transit agency throughout his career. He is skilled in securing and managing multiple complex technical systems and signaling projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. He has a demonstrated record of building and directing results-oriented teams that handle complex rail upgrades, line extension/expansion, and new start projects. Jon has experience in systems engineering, design, and program and construction management for delivery of light and heavy rail transit systems worldwide. Train control systems delivered include signals, communications, overhead catenary systems, traction power, security closed-circuit television, supervisory control systems/supervisory control and data acquisition, public address/visual message signs, radio systems, and vehicle management systems.

Jon is a member of the American Public Transportation Association, the New England Railroad Club, the Washington Area Railway Engineering Society, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, and the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association.
