Dr. Atasi has more than 4 decades of experience in process engineering for water, wastewater, water quality, and industrial wastewater treatment.

His scope of activities has included engineering studies, research and development, pilot demonstration, sampling/analysis, design, quality assurance and quality control’ treatment plant troubleshooting, master plans, design-build project delivery, and project management. Dr. Atasi takes part in contract preparation and negotiations, proposal preparation support, and expert witness and investigation duties.

Dr. Atasi is highly experienced in working with clients’ legal counsel, analyzing and assessing regulations, and providing consultations to clients for permit negotiations, consent order, and consent judgment negotiations.

For 17 years, Dr. Atasi was an adjunct professor of civil and environmental engineering at Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan) and held the DWSD Chair (non-endowed) Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 1988 to 1989. He was a guest speaker for many years at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Michigan) and is widely published in conference proceedings, peer-reviewed papers and reports, and books.
