Working with the City of Gas City, Indiana, and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), GAI performed a range of functions in the total reconstruction and widening of 1st Street from “D” Street to Main Street (SR 22/US 35).

The new roadway section consisted of one travel lane in each direction; concrete curb, gutters, and sidewalks; and ADA curb ramps. The project also included new signage, concrete driveway approaches, and storm-sewer system.

GAI served as project liaison for the City, and performed topographic surveying, environmental documentation, roadway design, hydraulic analysis and design, right-of-way engineering, utility coordination, and construction observation services.
