GAI prepared a wetland mitigation plan as part of the section 404/Chapter 105 joint permit application to offset aquatic resource functions for the wetland mitigation site located in Pennsylvania. Proposing a final site selection for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ concurrence, this plan allowed for an additional 230 linear feet of wetland enhancement along the site’s mitigation area. This enhancement has improved water quality, wildlife habitats, and aquatic biology; decreased downstream flooding; and increased overall recreation and species diversity.
