Darrell is a professional civil engineer with more than 20 years of experience working as a consultant for state, local, and private organizations. In his role as GAI Kentucky Transportation Leader, Darrell takes part in a range of transportation infrastructure projects including rural and urban roadway design, bridge design and replacement, planning studies, and more. He is responsible for managing GAI projects in the region as well as expanding GAI’s business to new markets.

Darrell’s diverse experience in highway design and analysis includes geometrics, interchange design, drainage design, stormwater management, right-of-way (ROW), minimizing environmental impacts, grading, field surveying, construction inspection, bridge inspections, oil containment, erosion and sediment control design, pipeline engineering services, cost estimating, design-build projects, transportation planning, project management, and more.

Darrell holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in West Virginia and Kentucky.
