Senior Engineering Manager
Emma specializes in water and wastewater treatment processes and environmental permitting compliance. Her professional experience includes engineering system and equipment design, process support, compliance assessments, and engineering consulting for municipal and industrial water/wastewater market sectors. Many of her projects are related to the treatment, collection, management, and conveyance of demineralized water, sewage, acid mine drainage (AMD), public drinking water, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) wastewater, and storm water.
Emma has experience with leading multidiscipline engineering design efforts on design-build projects. She has also worked as an Owner’s Engineer preparing conceptual engineering studies, project cost estimates, bid specification packages, and providing construction phase services. Additionally, Emma has regulatory compliance experience pursuant to water, solid waste, and RCRA.
Emma holds both MS and BS degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She serves on the Boards of Southwestern Pennsylvania Engineering Outreach and the Mountain Watershed association and is a member of the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania and the Society of Women Environmental Professionals.
