Engineering Director

As Engineering Director of GAI’s Transmission and Distribution Line Engineering Division, Sam Bouvier leads a team dedicated to delivering innovative and reliable solutions for power transmission and distribution facilities across the country. Serving GAI’s municipal, public, and private clients, Sam brings extensive experience in utility projects and a deep understanding of relevant industry standards including those from NESC, NERC, RUS, and GO-95.

Sam specializes in transmission and distribution line design, clearance analysis, structural loading, right-of-way assessments, and project coordination. His expertise also includes creating Issue for Construction (IFC) drawing packages, overseeing transmission and distribution line rebuilds, and managing pole replacement programs.

Committed to excellence, Sam helps maintain the highest standards of quality through comprehensive quality assurance and control checks on transmission and distribution design packages. His professional skillset includes performing NERC ratings and NESC clearance analyses for existing transmission lines and developing remediation packages to address identified deficiencies.

Sam is a Professional Engineer registered in the states of Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
