Todd Wilson, PE, MBA Receives Outstanding Alumni Service Award

GAI Consultants’ Engineer Honored by Carnegie Mellon University

Pittsburgh, PA—The Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) College of Engineering Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department has recognized GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) Assistant Engineering Manager Todd Wilson, PE, MBA with a 2024 Outstanding Alumni Service Award.

“When I was a student, the late John F. (Fred) Graham mentored the class,” said Todd Wilson. “His career had many highlights, including overseeing the design and construction of the Pittsburgh Airport Midfield Terminal project. The way Fred connected the theoretical college learning environment with his practical career experience was transformational in understanding not just how to apply college skills to the practical world, but also how important it is to give back. I am honored for the opportunity to help with the same class and to provide students with professional-like experience in the academic setting.”

Todd’s award recognizes the pivotal role he played in the success of the CEE department’s undergraduate Traffic Engineering project, for which he facilitated the kickoff event, mentored two student groups, recruited additional mentors, led the project site tour, and attended final presentations. Todd, along with five additional alumni honorees, was presented the award in May 2024, during CMU’s Spring Carnival event.
