GAI Appoints John Oliverio as Chief Human Resources Director

Pittsburgh, PA—National engineering and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) welcomes John Oliverio, SPHR as Chief Human Resources Director. John brings over 20 years of experience in the HR field and will be responsible for corporate oversight of GAI’s company-wide human resources activities along with developing and executing human resources strategies in support of the firm’s overall business plan. He will also play a critical role in shaping GAI’s culture as the company continues to grow, both organically and through acquisitions.

Prior to joining GAI, John served as Director of Human Resources for WESCO, Inc., leading HR functions for their utility, industrial, manufactured structures, and construction divisions. Before WESCO, John was Principal of Canadian-based human resources solutions company, Morneau Sobeco. He has also acted as VP of Human Resources for the online division of Education Management Corporation, and Regional Human Resources Manager for ADVO, Inc. (now Valassis.)

John holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. He is the President of Pittsburgh Young Professionals, board member/HR Committee Chair of the Animal Rescue League, an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and former president of both the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA) and Pittsburgh Cares.
