GAI Consultants Acquires Wisconsin-based Crispell-Snyder, Inc.

Lake Geneva, WI—GAI Consultants (GAI), a national engineering and environmental consulting firm, announced it will acquire Wisconsin-based Crispell-Snyder, Inc. (CS). Crispell-Snyder will enhance GAI’s local government, transportation, real estate, and energy market capabilities in the Midwest, while expanding the firm’s geographic presence and resources in Wisconsin. GAI’s acquisition of CS will be effective April 1, 2013.

Founded in 1979, Crispell-Snyder has a staff of 50 and is headquartered in Lake Geneva, WI. In addition, they maintain office locations in Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, and Fox Valley. Licensed in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan, CS supports its private and local government clients in areas ranging from municipal engineering and GIS technology, to community planning and landscape architecture.

“We have developed an excellent relationship with the GAI team and partnered with them on a number of strategic opportunities,” said Crispell-Snyder CEO Dan Snyder, PE. “By formalizing our relationship, we can continue to provide our employees with new opportunities and our clients with additional expertise.”

GAI Consultants has more than tripled its domestic presence during the past decade and currently operates 26 offices nationwide, including locations in Green Bay and Mayville, WI. Crispell-Snyder is GAI’s second acquisition of 2013, preceded earlier this year by Florida-based Lotspeich and Associates, Inc. In 2012, GAI expanded its presence and capabilities through the acquisition of DuBois, Pa.-based Lee-Simpson Associates, Inc. and three Central Florida firms: Bellomo-Herbert and Company, Inc., Real Estate Research Consultants, Inc., and Metz and Associates, LLC.
