Gary M. DeJidas, PE, MBA Named to GBA Council of Fellows

Pittsburgh, PA—National engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that its Chairman and CEO Gary M. DeJidas, PE, MBA has been named to the Geoprofessional Business Association’s (GBA) Council of Fellows.

Gary began his engineering career in 1972 at the Pittsburgh office of GAI Consultants. In 1982, the firm selected him to open its first office outside of western Pennsylvania in Orlando, FL. Starting with six employees, Gary built the GAI subsidiary into a 125-employee operation. In 2003, the GAI subsidiaries were consolidated into one company and Gary was elected President and CEO. Today as Chairman and CEO, Gary is responsible for overseeing the growth and strategic development of the 800-person, multi-disciplinary firm with staff in 25 offices across 12 states. 

Gary also has served as Chairperson/ Director of Terra Insurance Group—an insurance provider to the Architecture and Engineering industry—and Member of the SunTrust Bank (Truist) Advisory Board and was a Trustee to Point Park University, his alma mater.
