Charlie Straley, PE, PLS specializes in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering, including all aspects of subsurface exploration, laboratory testing, foundation and embankment design, slope stability, material and construction specifications, and construction administration, management, and monitoring. He also has experience in abandoned mine land reclamation including acid mine drainage, refuse reclamation, landslides, mine drainage, and other mining related problems. He has a West Virginia Contractor License and is active on committees for the WV Contractor’s Association and WV Chapter of the American Consulting Engineering Council. In his personal time, he is an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scouts, Chief Financial Officer of the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival, Inc., volunteer for the Cabell Midland High School Marching Knights (band) and serves on committees and merit badge counselor for the Adena District, Buckskin Council of Boy Scouts of America.
