
Kelly Hockersmith, MA, RPA
Cultural Resources Director
In her role as GAI’s Cultural Resources Director, Kelly leads a team of skilled archaeologists and architectural historians in delivering a range of cultural resources services for the firm’s new and existing federal, state, municipal, and private sector clients. A registered professional archaeologist (RPA), Kelly draws upon more than 20 years of experience to specialize in management and quality control for energy and transportation projects.
Kelly holds an MA in Applied Anthropology from the University of South Florida and BAs in both Anthropology and Psychology from Heidelberg University. She is a member of the Society for American Archaeology, Southeastern Archaeological Conference, Tennessee Council for Professional Archaeology, National Association of Environmental Professionals, and Women’s Energy Network. Kelly currently serves as a lecturer for the University of Maryland Department of Anthropology Cultural and Heritage Resource Management graduate program.
