New River Gorge National Park Archaeological Investigation Overview
Fayette County, WV
Prior to installation of a water line and fire prevention system at the national park, GAI conducted a Phase II archaeological investigation. Excavations resulted in recovery of nearly 400 artifacts and GAI’s recommendation that one particular site be avoided during construction of the fire system.
