Q1/Q2 2023 Message from Chairman & CEO Gary DeJidas

Gary DejidasGAI had a milestone year in 2022. We expanded our services and geographic reach, steadily grew our professional staff, and entered a new financial partnership with Comvest Partners. Most importantly, our clients have remained loyal and extremely satisfied with GAI’s performance. GAI is a healthy and thriving company with great growth potential, and I could not be more pleased with the efforts our employees have made to help position GAI where it is today.

With this first message to you of the new year, I’m eager to go over GAI’s focus during the early months of 2023 and offer an idea of the vision we have set in motion for the year ahead.

The Power to Grow

We have set 2023 as another year of growth for GAI, and we are currently exploring several merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities in the AEC space. We seek to steadily grow our professional staff, develop new service areas, and establish a broader geographic presence. I anticipate sharing more news of successful M&A activity at GAI in the coming year.

To grow organically, we will continue to seek to bring aboard the best new and experienced talent available in the AEC space—recruiting and retention is a top priority for GAI, and a recurring topic of discussion at GAI’s Board of Directors meetings, along with analysis of our business performance, IT enhancement, and more. As someone who marked 50 years of service with GAI in 2022, I can think of no better working environment for those entering the AEC field seeking a rewarding, supportive career path or for experienced engineering professionals looking to grow with new challenges and career-development opportunities.

As GAI grows, advancing our nationwide presence and impact, we will continue to identify and invest in people and capabilities that are difference-makers for our clients.

The Power to Help Others

building homes for heroesMoving away from business-related news, GAI last month announced our 2023 Charity of Choice Building Homes for Heroes, which will be the year’s official focus of our corporate giving program, iGaive. Building Homes for Heroes is a nonprofit national organization that builds or modifies existing homes and gifts them, mortgage free, to injured veterans and their families, while also providing support services to enable them to build better lives. We have set a Building Homes for Heroes donation goal for the year of $25,000, and I’m happy to say that we are well on our way toward successfully realizing that milestone with several thousand dollars already donated by our ever-generous staff.

I encourage you to visit Building Homes for Heroes, learn more about the essential support they provide for veterans and their families, and consider a donation to help advance the organization’s worthy cause.

More News to Come!

I thank you for this opportunity to touch upon some of GAI’s recent developments and emerging plans, and as mentioned earlier, there will likely be substantial news to discuss with you in ensuing quarterly updates. Happy spring, and I look forward to speaking with you again soon.
