Pittsburgh, PA—National engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that Kevin Leadbetter, PE, GAI’s President of Transportation & Infrastructure, has been appointed CEO effective January 1, 2025. Mr. Leadbetter succeeds prior CEO Gary M. DeJidas, PE, MBA, F.GBA following his retirement from the company after a distinguished 50-plus-year career.

With each role, I have had the opportunity to see the incredible talents and passion of our people in serving the technical needs of our clients. I look forward to building upon our tremendous foundation and helping to lead GAI to new heights.”
Mr. Leadbetter added, “On behalf of GAI’s Board, management team, and employees, I want to thank Gary DeJidas for his incredible contributions and leadership here at GAI over the last 50+ years. We congratulate him on his successful career at GAI and wish Gary and his family all the best during his much-deserved retirement.”
In announcing his retirement as CEO, Mr. DeJidas shared, “I am proud of the many significant engineering projects and strategic company growth initiatives I’ve been involved with during my 52-year career with GAI. Serving as CEO and getting to work with so many talented, driven, and focused professionals at GAI has been an honor. I’m proud of the company that I’ve devoted my career to, and I look forward to passing on my legacy and support to [GAI’s] new Board-appointed CEO.”

As GAI’s CEO, Mr. Leadbetter will continue to drive GAI’s growth in serving clients in the power and energy, transportation, government, development, and industrial markets. Mr. Leadbetter has 30 years of experience in engineering and construction for complex infrastructure initiatives, primarily at GAI. He most recently served as a member of the executive team and led GAI’s Transportation & Infrastructure business unit.
With the appointment of Mr. Leadbetter as CEO, current GAI Vice President Greg Nettuno, PE has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Transportation & Infrastructure Business Unit Leader.
