GAI Consultants Supports Employee-Owners with New Paid Parental Leave Benefit

Pittsburgh, PA—National engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced a new paid parental leave policy for its employees. GAI’s new paid parental leave policy is effective January 1, 2021, and provides two work weeks of paid leave for the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a new child.

“At the heart of GAI’s culture and purpose is our people. I am proud to support this important new policy that provides financial assistance to our valued employees who are faced with costs associated with the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a new child,” said GAI President Anthony Morrocco, PE, PLS.

GAI’s paid parental leave is available to mothers and fathers who are full-time GAI employees regardless of their eligibility for coverage under the provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The paid leave benefit is triggered for eligible employees by the qualifying event of becoming a parent by birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child and runs concurrently with FMLA, when applicable.
