Pittsburgh, PA—GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that Charles Ziegler, PE, has joined the firm’s Northeast Transportation Division as a Roadway Project Manager. Mr. Ziegler brings more than 35 years of experience in civil engineering, including more than 28 years as an Office Principal or Transportation Practice Lead. He serves GAI’s clients from the firm’s Cranberry, PA office.

Highlights/Key Facts

• Charles has served as Project Manager/Lead Engineer on numerous conventional and design-build transportation projects in Pennsylvania and Ohio and is well versed in each state’s Department of Transportation policies and procedures.
• He specializes in civil design including site layout, highway geometry, stormwater management, and maintenance of traffic (MOT).
• His significant past projects include serving as Project Manager and Roadway Lead on the PennDOT District 12-0 I-70 Arnold City Interchange project, and as the Section 55B Design Management Reviewer and Overall Utility Coordinator for the PA Turnpike’s Southern Beltway project.
• Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
