Pittsburgh, PA—GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced the addition of Sung Yi as Construction Services Director and Chad Farabaugh, PE as Senior Roadway Project Manager within the firm’s Northeast Transportation group.

Sung Yi joins GAI with more than 25 years of hands-on geotechnical engineering, construction management, and materials testing experience, including senior-level quality oversight for major infrastructure programs such as the Pittsburgh International Airport Terminal Modernization Project.

Sung holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California University of Pennsylvania and holds numerous industry accreditations and certifications. Sung will serve as GAI’s Construction Services Director focusing on the construction management and construction inspection of transportation projects across the state.

Chad Farabaugh, PE brings more than 20 years of progressive transportation engineering experience specializing in Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), municipal, and energy-sector infrastructure projects, most recently managing PennDOT and municipal transportation projects valued at more than $1 million. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. Chad will provide senior project management leadership for PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects and will be responsible for expanding GAI’s presence in the greater Philadelphia area.
