Orlando, FL—GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that Christopher Braden, PE, SE has joined the firm’s Florida Transportation group as a Senior Engineering Manager. Mr. Braden brings more than 19 years of experience in the transportation engineering industry working on various highway structural design projects and will serve GAI’s clients from the firm’s Orlando office.
Highlights/Key Facts
- Christopher specializes in design and detailing activities relating to prestressed concrete, precast and cast-in-place post-tensioned segmental concrete, steel box and plate girders for bridges, and displacement-based seismic design utilizing AASHTO criteria.
- His significant past projects include serving as post design Engineer of Record for the CSX over I-4 bridge replacement in Lakeland, FL; as lead structural engineer for the Vanderbilt Beach Road Widening in Collier County, FL; and as senior structural engineer on the California High Speed Railroad from Bakersfield to Fresno, CA.
- Christopher holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and coastal engineering from the University of Florida and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Indiana, Louisiana, and Missouri.
- He is a Registered Structural Engineer in Washington, Illinois, and Georgia.
