GAI Welcomes Ralph Byrd, PE

Orlando, FL—GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that Ralph Byrd, PE, has joined the firm’s Florida Transportation group as a Senior Project Engineer, bringing more than 30 years of experience in roadway design, plans production, and project management. Responsible for contract administration for roadway design projects, Mr. Byrd serves GAI’s new and existing clients from the firm’s Orlando office.

Highlights/Key Facts

Ralph’s varied experience includes roadway design projects ranging from large highway design projects for clients like the Florida Department of Transportation to roadway widening and rehabilitation projects for local municipalities.
His significant past projects include serving as Project Engineer for the Northwest 138^th Street at I-75 Interchange Improvement project in Miami-Dade County, FL; as Project Engineer for the SR 70 Widening Project from Header Canal to Rock Road in St. Lucie County, FL; and as Project Engineer for the SR 5 (US 1) Overseas Highway Widening Project along Big Pine Key in Monroe County, Florida.
Ralph holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida.
He is an active member of the Florida Engineering Society.
