University of Florida Honors Landscape Architect with Annual Award

2018 Distinguished Landscape Architecture Alumnus AwardOrlando, FL—The University of Florida (UF) Department of Landscape Architecture, part of the UF College of Design, Construction and Planning, has honored GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) Assistant Vice President Frank Bellomo, PLA with the 2018 Distinguished Landscape Architecture Alumnus Award. Mr. Bellomo received the award during the Department’s annual end-of-year celebration.

  • Each year, the UF Department of Landscape Architecture recognizes an alumnus who by his or her work has made an outstanding contribution to the education and to the profession of landscape architecture
  • The award was bestowed on Frank at the UF Department of Landscape Architecture’s annual end-of-year celebration on Friday, April 27, 2018.

About Mr. Bellomo:

  • Frank is a Senior Director of Landscape Architecture for GAI’s Community Solutions Group.
  • Over the course of more than 38 years, Frank has created hundreds of projects that earned national and state awards and recognition by his peers.
  • His career centers on projects that positively impact communities including urban planning, park and recreation design, streetscapes, higher education campus design and planning, and a multitude of projects in both the public and private sectors.
  • Frank is a registered professional landscape architect and holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Florida.
