Pittsburgh, PA—National engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that as of April 1, 2022, it acquired Austin, Texas-based PGH Petroleum & Environmental Engineers, LLC (PGH).
“On behalf of myself and the entire PGH team, we are extremely excited to be part GAI. We look forward to the opportunities that GAI will provide to not only grow PGH’s petroleum engineering services but also GAI’s oil and gas practice. We share the same business philosophy and corporate culture, which I feel will advance our future growth and success,” said PGH President Wayman T. Gore, Jr., P.E.
PGH provides petroleum engineering, litigation support, and regulatory consulting services, as well as permitting services for oil and gas operations. The acquisition of PGH will grow GAI’s client base, expand its petroleum engineering services, and help lead to opportunities in the upstream oil and natural gas market for GAI’s existing staff.
Including licensed Professional Engineers and Geologists, the PGH staff combines more than 400 years of practical experience in drilling and reservoir engineering, field development studies, oil and gas reserve evaluations, gas marketing studies, secondary recovery and unitization projects, and regulatory compliance issues. Their clients include law firms, energy companies, oil companies, financial institutions, and city, county, and state governments throughout the U.S.
GAI Chairman and CEO Gary DeJidas, PE, MBA describes the PGH acquisition as “a mutually beneficial strategic fit due to our companies’ common corporate cultures, business philosophies, and ethical commitments. PGH shares GAI’s focus on employee satisfaction and has a reputation for customer service that has helped PGH establish a highly successful firm that earns a significant amount of repeat business from a loyal client base.”
PGH will operate as PGH Petroleum & Environmental Engineers, LLC, A GAI Company. PGH will continue to provide seamless service to its existing clients.
