GAI Consultants Acquires Eland Engineering

Orlando, FL – National engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) today announced that as of June 13, 2023, it has acquired Eland Engineering, LLC. (Eland), a Fort Lauderdale-based regional provider of engineering consulting and field maintenance services for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic signal systems.

Founded in 2009 by Mr. Qian, Eland is a recognized leader in the Florida ITS market. Eland’s solutions span project design, implementation, operations, and maintenance. The company’s expertise encompasses areas of ITS, including fiber optic and wireless communication technologies, dynamic messaging systems, traffic signal control systems, vehicle detection systems, and connected autonomous vehicles systems.

Eland’s Fort Lauderdale and Sanford, FL offices join GAI’s Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Palm Beach Gardens office locations to enhance the firm’s Florida presence and provide focused expertise to clients alongside 25 GAI locations across the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast, and Texas.
Stifel served as financial advisor and Akerman LLP served as legal advisor to GAI in connection with the transaction.
