Illinois
GAI performed civil engineering design and permitting services for this project. The project is a 105 MW wind generator facility currently consisting of 62 turbines including 11 miles of a new 138kV radial transmission line connecting to the transmission system. GAI’s tasks included permitting exhibits, conceptual plans, and 30 percent design/bid package; grading plan for 27 proposed turbines and eight alternate turbines, access roads, and project facilities; engineers’ estimate; preliminary hydrologic and hydraulic evaluation (FLO-2D Model); preliminary pavement design / soil cement stabilization; review of all impacted bridges and culverts; 100% civil design for the O&M Building (IFC drawings); and conducting a public road use analysis including 27 miles of public roads with 140 culverts and 11 bridges.
