GAI’s Community Solutions Group has provided master planning and landscape architectural design services for Laureate Park since we began our practice in 2014. Several members of our team have direct experience with Lake Nona and Laureate Park since 2002.

Laureate Park is an 800-acre residential community immediately east of Lake Nona Medical City and the Town Center. As with all development at Lake Nona, Laureate Park is heavily defined by the timeless character its open space and amenities, ease of navigation by foot and bicycle, strong relationship to the environment and overall quality of life for all ages.

The master plan for Laureate Park utilizes a contiguous network of linear parkways to connect every neighborhood across the fabric of fine-grain blocks and streets. Each resident is within a short walk of this open space network, and can therefore easily access the entire community, amenities, larger park nodes, lakefronts, schools, and other civic infrastructure.

The fine-grain block pattern is designed to provide a walkable community comprising innovative and mixed residential types. Pocket gardens are placed sensitively within the block pattern to further extend proximate open space to every resident. And the predominantly native planting patterns make efficient use of water and build shade canopy while providing seasonal interest and a strong relationship to the surrounding wetlands and natural areas.
