GAI is providing professional services to the City of Leesburg, Florida, for the construction of two (2) new 5-unit aircraft storage hangars at Leesburg International Airport (LEE), a publicly owned, public-use facility that serves the aviation needs of Lake County as well as the larger Central Florida region. In accordance with the Airport’s current, approved Airport Layout Plan (ALP)—and to assure safe, efficient expansion of the rapidly growing airfield—GAI designed the two new hangars to accommodate light twin and single engine aircraft. GAI’s scope of services included site design, building design, survey, drainage design, utility design, permitting, bidding assistance and construction administration. Construction is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed in November 2020.
