In my first message of the new year, I am pleased to report that in 2021 we successfully navigated the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic to have another year of positive financial performance and client and employee satisfaction.
In 2021, we adopted flexible work-location options, saw our stock value rise, invested in our Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) and surpassed our company safety goal for the year—I am extremely pleased with GAI’s performance overall, which I credit to the talent and innovation of our staff, the skillful direction of our leadership, and the ongoing loyalty of our valued clients.
Here are some of the areas that are figuring highly in GAI’s goals for 2022:
Focus on Growth
We intend to cultivate both organic and inorganic growth opportunities in 2022.
To grow organically, we will continue to recruit the best new talent entering the market by actively hosting and participating in a range of career fairs throughout our services areas that will enlighten new talent to GAI’s diverse opportunities for taking part in stimulating and challenging project work.
We are launching a Mentorship Program this year that will pair GAI leaders and senior staff with employee volunteers with the goal of supporting staff career development and leadership potential while helping cultivate connections, relationships, and cross-organization engagement within the company.
To keep our pay structure current in a competitive market, our Career Progression and Compensation Management Program is working to provide an attractive compensation structure to GAI’s highly skilled workforce.
We will strengthen our promise to keep GAI an inclusive, attuned, and rewarding place to work by our continued commitment to taking guidance from our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee.
While the DEI, Mentorship, and the Career Progression and Compensation Management Program initiatives will serve to help make GAI a company of choice by optimizing the GAI work experience, our attractive Direct Stock Ownership and ESOP programs enable staff to share in GAI’s ever-increasing value, while our 401(k) offers company-matched savings and growth opportunity.
The work of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) advisory committee will further improve the GAI work experience by helping enhance our commitment to ethical and sustainable operations both internally and as it relates to the world we share.
On the inorganic growth side, GAI continually explores merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities that will enable us to expand both our geographic footprint and the breadth of expertise we can offer our clients.
