WTRF – The City of Wheeling, through its Parks and Strategic Planning Department, will hold a public meeting to discuss the development of the Wheeling Island Gateway Park.
The park will be located south of the Wheeling Suspension Bridge on about an acre of property.
GAI Consultants has been selected to develop the proposed master plan. In January, the firm responded to a request for qualifications that stated the goal of developing “a great vision that weaves the threads of history and contemporary community life together into a beautiful, safe, accessible, and sustainable park.”
