Congratulations to Rusty Sievers, PE on His Retirement

Please join us in extending our thanks and best wishes to GAI Senior Engineering Manager Jeffrey “Rusty” Sievers, PE, who announced he will retire at the end of May 2019.

Rusty’s dedication and loyalty to GAI over his career will not soon be forgotten. Rusty is a perfect role model and inspiration for the qualities and core values expected in a professional. It’s with both sadness and happiness that I wish Rusty, his wife Judi, and their family the very best in the future!

Gary M. DeJidas, P.E., MBA, Chairman & CEO, GAI Consultants, Inc.

A respected and accomplished engineer, Rusty joined GAI-Southeast in 1990 as an Engineering Manager in the firm’s Orlando office. In his 29 years with GAI, Rusty has held various leadership positions and has been instrumental in the company’s continued growth and success.

Rusty has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, Executive Vice President, Regional Manager of GAI’s Southeast operations, and Operations Manager for GAI’s Transportation Business Unit. A member of the company’s Board of Directors for nearly 10 years, he also served on numerous GAI committees that guide GAI’s management decisions.

Rusty also remained active in many professional organizations, including the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), for which he served as Regional Director, Director, President, Treasurer, and Chairman of the History and By-Laws Committee for the Central Florida Section. Rusty is the 2016 recipient of the ASHE National Lifetime Achievement Award.

We are thankful for Rusty’s years of leadership and technical expertise, and wish him well-deserved happiness as he begins a new chapter that includes plans to travel and time spent with family.
