PITTSBURGH

ASCE Awards Banquet

Engineer the Future
Date(s): February 23–25
Location: Chevron Center for STEM Education and Career Development

This two-day event features presentations, hands-on activities, and science demonstrations that are designed to inspire young people to explore engineering.

Pittsburgh Professional Engineers Banquet

Join us for an evening of fellowship, great food, and the presentation of the 2017 Engineers Week Chapter Awards.


ORLANDO

Orlando Science Center

This week, guests get to try their hand at being an engineer as the Science Center offers special demos—and on Saturday and Sunday, engineering experiments in Dr. Dare’s Lab and STEM challenges throughout the building.

UCF Engineers Week 2017

Location: University of Central Florida (UCF) Main Campus

Join the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science as we celebrate Engineers Week with a variety of free events on UCF’s main campus to showcase that just about every modern convenience is possible because of engineers.


RICHMOND

ACEC Awards Banquet

Location: The Jefferson Hotel

The ACEC Awards Banquet (same as the RJEC Banquet) features Cocktails and Formal Dinner, and awards presentation for Engineer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Dr. Rodney J. Hanneman Community Service Award, and The RJEC Chairs Cup.

ASM E-Week Activities

We have many things going on this month during Engineers Week, now rebranded as E-WEEK, including Celebrating Engineering Ingenuity Day, Richmond Joint Engineers Council (RJEC) Engineers Week Banquet, Peninsula Engineers Council (PEC) Engineering Career Day, and the PEC Engineer of the Year Banquet.


INDIANAPOLIS/FT WAYNE

ACEC E-Week
Date(s): February 20–24
Location: Various locations throughout Indiana

ACEC is coordinating with Citizens Energy Group, Indianapolis DPW, and INDOT to reach out to students and classrooms during National Engineers School Feb. 20-24, 2017.  Therefore, we are asking for 50 ACEC Indiana members to volunteer to be paired up with CEG, DPW or INDOT staff and make a presentation at an Indianapolis area middle or high school; we ask that you share with students real world perspectives about your career and engineering, answer any questions from students, and engage with the students on their current work projects.

Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – Engineers Day

Local engineers will lead activities and demonstrate how engineering has contributed to our health and safety.

High School Bridge Building Contest
Date(s): February 25
Location: Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), Lobby of ETCS Building

This is a Bridge building contest for High School students, hosted by the IPFW College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science (ETCS).


CHARLESTON

WVU E-Week

Tampa Bay Engineers Week Banquet

This premier event brings together local leaders and engineering professionals to recognize the outstanding achievements of engineers, science teachers, math teachers, and students in our community.

7th Annual STEM Professional Association Event

Location: Middleton High School

Middleton High School, a Pre-Collegiate STEM Academy, invites you to our 7th annual “STEM Professional Association Event” from 6:00-7:30 PM on Thursday, March 30. This STEM Professional Association Event is held on an annual basis to connect Tampa Bay area students, parents, educators, and professionals in order to promote student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.

CHICAGO

Engineering Fest
Date(s): February 18–19
Location: Chicago Architecture Foundation

On February 18 and 19 from 10am to 3pm, celebrate National Engineers Week with our annual Engineering Fest. In 2017, we will explore Chicago’s iconic movable bridges with FREE activities for ages 5–12. Join over 1,500 visitors for a weekend full of family-friendly engineering explorations.

Illinois Institute of Technology STEM Expo
Date(s): February 25
Location: IIT Rice Campus

Join us at the DuPage Area STEM Expo (formerly known as DuPage Area Engineers Week) for an interactive exploration into science, technology, engineering, and math. Over 50 displays, presentations, projects to take home, and activities for school-age children, grades K – 6. The DuPage Area STEM Expo, in conjunction with national Engineers Week, is a specialized event designed to promote the awareness of professional and educational opportunities provided among engineering and STEM fields.
