GAI Consultants Adds Parks and Recreation Management and Planning Expert

Kristin_CabornOrlando, FL—GAI Consultants (GAI) welcomes Kristin Caborn, CPRE, FCP, Senior Planning Manager, to the firm’s Community Solutions Group. Ms. Caborn brings 17 years of extensive parks and recreation management and planning experience, including oversight of several multimillion-dollar projects. She also specializes in crime prevention through environmental design strategies. In 2015, Kristin was selected for Engineering News-Record Southeast’s “Top 20 Under 40” list.

  • Notable projects Kristin has been involved with include the Louisiana Statewide
    Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, the City of North Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and the Polk County Off-Highway Vehicle Park.
  • Kristin previously served as Parks and Recreation Director for the City of St. Cloud, Florida, where she was actively involved in all aspects of park planning, including extensive public involvement and facilitation.
  • Kristin has been a Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) Foundation trustee for eight years and served as president in 2012.
  • She has also served on the Florida Design Out Crime Association board for 12 years.
  • Kristin is a Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) with a master’s degree in recreational studies.
  • She hosted an FRPA Foundation event at GAI’s Orlando office on January 29.
