GAI Launches Newly-Formed Community Solutions Group

Orlando, FL—National Engineering, Environmental, Planning, and Economic Consulting firm GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) brings together a diverse and growing team of experienced planners, designers, economists and public policy experts to create its new Community Solutions Group. This new venture provides a strategic consulting practice to meet the evolving needs of government, agencies, institutions, and developers.

  • GAI Senior Director Pete Sechler, PLA/AICP, leads the newly formed Community Solutions Group strengthening the firm’s overall capabilities through a unique blend of landscape architects, urban designers, land use planners, public finance/economic development specialists, and public administrators.
  • GAI’s Community Solutions Group combines two former GAI subsidiaries—the real estate advisory services of Real Estate Research Consultants (RERC) and the landscape architectural strengths of Bellomo-Herbert—enhanced by GAI’s existing urban design and planning capabilities.
  • Leadership from each discipline remains actively in place with team members located throughout GAI’s 25 offices, while leveraging resources offered across the company.
  • GAI’s Community Solutions Group professionals were instrumental in the success of key Central Florida projects, including: Orlando Health Downtown Campus; Baldwin Park; SunRail Station Area Planning; and University of Central Florida Campus Landscape Master Plan. Other notable projects are the St. Petersburg Downtown Waterfront Master Plan; Clermont Downtown Master Plan; Haddad Riverfront Park Master Plan in West Virginia; Clearwater Downtown Streetscapes; Village West Entertainment District, Kansas City, KS; Children’s Museum of Naples; the Volusia County Marine Science Center; UCF Downtown Campus Economic Impact Analysis; and station area planning for the Tri-Rail Coastal Link expansion between Miami and West Palm Beach.
