This has been an eventful year at GAI—and as 2019 comes to a close I’d like to wish you happy holidays, thank each GAI client for their trust and loyalty, and express my appreciation for the hard work and dedication of every GAI employee.
Throughout 2019, we’ve taken part in a range of exciting projects throughout our service areas—many earning prestigious awards from organizations including Florida Transportation Builders Association, American Society of Landscape Architects, Associated Builders and Contractors of West Virginia, Engineering News Record (ENR), Florida Redevelopment Association, Design-Build Institute of America, and many more. We have added many talented professionals to the GAI team over the course of the year, each bringing valuable expertise that enhances our collective skill set and adds value for our current and prospective clients.
Some of the positive things GAI has achieved during 2019 include:
- Welcoming more than 150 new employees
- Graduating our fifth internal MBA class
- Optimizing our work environment by establishing new offices spaces in Richmond, VA; Jackson, MI; and Florence, KY, and hosting a celebratory open house with staff and local city leaders at our relocated Fort Wayne, IN office
- Conducting a range of corporate culture enhancing programs through our ONE-GAI employee engagement program
- Starting a new partnership with nonprofit global aid organization Direct Relief, GAI’s 2019-2020 corporate charity of choice, and continuing our tradition of local giving and volunteer activities
- Achieving gains in ESOP and direct stock value for our Employee Owners
- Enjoying another year of positive financial results, award-winning project achievements, and new opportunities
