GAI’s Community Solutions Group (CSG) has been working with Orange County, Florida to enhance the identity of its International Drive (I-Drive) District and create a distinct sense of place through strategic wayfinding. Building on the County’s I-Drive 2040 Vision and now Vision 2050, the I-Drive Signage and Wayfinding Master Plan aims to use cohesive signage to help unify the various districts within this vibrant tourist corridor. The plan integrates wayfinding elements with landscape architectural enhancements at key gateway areas along I-Drive, helping visitors to easily recognize and navigate the district’s unique character. The signs were designed to simplify navigation while showcasing the vibrant character and dynamic energy of the I-Drive District. Just like the district itself, the dynamic signage design adapts to illuminate and showcase the subdistricts’ colors at night, while maintaining a sleek and professional look during the day.

Currently, the CSG team is providing construction administration support during the implementation phase. In collaboration with County staff and the selected fabricator, CSG conducted a corridor walkthrough to determine optimal sign placements, considering existing utilities and terrain conditions.
