As part of the final design of the Mosside Boulevard Bridge replacement and expansion over Turtle Creek, GAI performed environmental investigations and provided coordination to support the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 10, in obtaining permits and approvals. Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments and subsurface investigations were conducted to determine the nature and extent of onsite contamination. Using fluvial geomorphology techniques and bioengineered features, GAI designed a stable stream channel to facilitate the restoration of the 1,000-foot natural stream and support aquatic life and native riparian vegetation.
