GAI is partnering once again with PennDOT Engineering District 12-0 to provide supplementary construction inspection staff under the Department’s Inspector-In-Charge as part of a 5-year, $1.5 million Open-End services agreement. The agreement addresses various road and bridge construction projects located in District 12-0, consisting of Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. Under this agreement, GAI has provided construction inspection personnel for the 2019 Emergency Slides project, which addressed slide repairs, roadway reconstruction, and drainage improvements on various state routes in Westmoreland County. Additional inspectors have assisted the Department on the WECO Signal Upgrades; the full replacement of 10 existing traffic signals; 7 existing traffic signal upgrades; 7 coordination/timing changes; and the replacement of 2 flashing warning devices, including sidewalk and ADA curb ramp replacement, as well as update of pavement markings and signs. This is GAI’s second consecutive Open End with the District in recent years.
