Propane Pipeline Stream Restoration Overview
West Virginia
Due to safety and maintenance concerns, GAI designed and permitted a 150-foot stream restoration to restore cover over a propane pipeline and return a stream to its historic location. GAI’s design used natural channel design methods, applied fluvial geomorphology principles, and optimized the use of available space to create a stable stream channel and floodplain within the confined right-of-way. This design ultimately protected the pipeline against future exposures.
