Mr. Tannous brings over 25 years of progressive structural design and project management experience to the firm’s Jacksonville, FL office.

Highlights/Key Facts

  • Fares broad experience encompasses commercial design; bridge design; bridge inspection and load rating; project plans and specifications; and design review and construction services.
  • His bridge design and load rating experience includes complex steel bridges (short- and long-span); pre-stressed concrete and timber bridges; seismic design and retrofitting; and bridge inspection and rehabilitation studies.
  • His significant past projects include serving as Lead Design Engineer and Engineer of Record for PD&E and final design of CR 361 over Cypress Creek and Fish Creek Bridge Replacements in Taylor County, FL; as Lead Design Engineer and Engineer of Record for SR 10 (Atlantic Avenue) over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge No. 720690 in Duval County, FL; and as Lead Design Engineer and Engineer of Record for PD&E and final design of CR 200A over Lofton Creek bridge replacement in Nassau County, FL.
  • Fares holds both PhD and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University.
  • He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana, as well as a Certified Bridge Inspector.
