Orlando Health plans new patient tower in Lake County

Orlando Health plans to expand its presence in Lake County with a new 110-bed patient tower in the works.

The $6.2 billion local nonprofit health system wants to build a five-story facility on the site of the 140-bed Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont and boost the hospital’s bed capacity to 250. The hospital previously received approval for up to 300 beds at the site back in 2007.

GAI Consultants is the civil engineer and landscape architect for the project, while HKS Architects is the building architect.
