Baker Street Transit Facility Site Development

Baker Street Transit Facility Site Development Overview

Fort Wayne, IN

The 2,813-square-foot Baker Street Transit Center is a downtown bus facility on a 0.98-acre lot. It is one of the first downtown buildings designed using Fort Wayne Downtown Design Manual standards. The brick building facade, street trees, lighting, and sidewalk-scoring patterns that were woven into the design followed the specifications and guidelines outlined in the Manual. GAI’s land development services included drainage, utilities, a retaining structure, and landscaping. By using the sheet pile retaining wall concept designed by GAI, the City maximized land area use and stayed clear of the railroad right-of-way.
