GAI prepared a restoration plan for a landslide located within a watershed that was encroaching upon a residence. This seven-acre landslide was threatening the home, water well and propane tank. GAI performed site mapping and a detailed geotechnical exploration, and developed restoration designs. Our proactive approach included investigating an existing surface mine in the same vicinity and the mine owner identified a localized spot within their mine reclamation area that was having drainage issues and agreed to the placement of the landslide spoil at that location.
