E-Week Activities Inspire Wonder in Future Engineers

Did you know that February 18—24 is National Engineers Week (E-Week)? Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, E-Week is an official partnership of over 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and governmental agencies. Below, we’ve compiled some of our favorite E-Week activities to inspire young minds.

The 2018 E-Week theme is “Engineers: Inspiring Wonder.” True inspiration drives creative minds to conceive wondrous things and pursue fulfilling careers—to inspire the young potential engineer in your life, we encourage you to celebrate the E-Week theme by introducing a child to engineering through fun, hands-on E-Week activities.

There are hands-on activities for all ages in engineering disciplines including environmental, civil, electrical, industrial, and more. So get inspired and share your adventures with us—take a photo or video of your project, and share it with us by tagging @gaiconsultants on Twitter or Facebook.

Here are some of our favorite E-Week activities to try out with the future engineer in your life:
