230kV Transmission Line Relocation Overview

GAI designed the relocation of a 3-mile section of a transmission line to as a result of erosion from a meandering river on an island in Asia. Foundations were designed to accommodate up to 12 feet of erosion from extreme weather conditions and excessive flooding. By procuring steel poles from a local firm and altering designs extensively to accommodate local materials, GAI helped the client avoid high out-of-country taxes and time lost importing materials.
