500kV Southeast Transmission Line Overview

Southeast

GAI performed geotechnical investigations for the 51 mile long project to characterize the subsurface conditions along the transmission line and prepare foundation recommendations. Placed into service in the 1960s, the 500 kilovolt high-voltage line is nearing the end of its useful life and will be replaced with new equipment to meet current standards. GAI is currently performing foundation QA/QC services during transmission line construction.
