500kV Southeast Transmission Line Overview
Southeast
GAI performed geotechnical investigations for the 51-mile-long project to characterize the subsurface conditions along the transmission line and prepare foundation recommendations. Placed into service in the 1960s, the 500kV high-voltage line was nearing the end of its useful life and was replaced by new structures, foundations, hardware, and conductors to meet current standards. GAI performed foundation QA/QC services during the foundation construction for the line.
